Get free support to quit vaping!
Doctors at the University of California San Francisco are running a research study to learn more effective ways to support quitting vaping for young people. That means we can PAY YOU to take research surveys while you go through a support program to quit vaping!
This is a research study conducted by the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). The study was approved by the WCG Institutional Review Board (IRB) (Protocol #20204627).
Participation is completely voluntary. We take many steps to protect your privacy and safety during this study. You may download copies of the Informed Consent Form and the Participant Bill of Rights below to learn more.
Immediately after answering a few questions on the survey, you will find out if you are eligible to be part of the study. After that, you will have the chance to decide if you want to be a part of it.
No, parent permission is not needed. All participants will be required to review and sign an Informed Consent Form giving their own permission to be part of the study.
No, there is no cost to you to be in the study. The support program and expert advice you’ll get are totally free for participants. In fact, we pay YOU when you fill out each of our research surveys.
This program is best suited for people who are feeling ready to try their best at quitting. But, we understand slip ups or rough patches might happen. There are no repercussions for not quitting during the study period, and you will still be eligible to take the surveys and get paid. Being part of the study can help give you lifelong skills that you can use anytime you’re trying to quit in the future.
Not everyone will qualify to participate in this study at this time. If you don’t qualify but still want more resources to help you quit vaping, try checking out the following resources:
